hi every one… i just asking what is Item Reclass. Journal for? (form 393)

I need something like transfer order, but we don’t have module for transfer order

I just wondering if we could use Item Reclass. Journal

is it possible?

Hi Stan,

Yes the reclass is mostly used for location transfers but can also be used to change serial / lot no.s. The main difference using the reclass journal to the transfer is that the inventory is transfer in one transaction instead of a ship and receive.

Actually… I want to transfer item from Location A to Location B

if we use transfer order, so we just Transfer-from code A to Transfer-to Code B

how about Item Reclass Journal?

is it from location code to new location code field?

Hi Stan,

Yes, the only difference is that it doesn’t require an In-Transit location.
