It is known that there are 2 global dimensions. But i want to add one more dimension which will be treated as 3rd global dimension. I know it will be a hectic work…but will it be succeeded? Is that possible in any way?
yes, we’ve added 4 global dims, the easiest way to do is add the fields to the entry tables, then fill them from the posted dimensions registered by the system
I wouldn’t say it’s quite that simple…
I’ve also done a solution with adding global dims once.
Besides having the new fields filled, wich easily can be done like Romeo suggests, you probably also want to add flow-filters to a lot of other tables, along with modifying the flow-formulas on some flow-fields on the same tables…
That calls for a lot of extra indexes on the entry-tables…
Also remember that the user can change the global dimensions, so remember to either modify that functionality also, or block the users possibility to change the global dimensions, once entries have been added to the company.
