An in-depth research based on the infamous beer topic will get my vote… Originally posted by PeterD - 2005 Nov 30 : 08:52:42
Hear, hear!!! I voted for one big meeting, because it will probably have greater impact. If 3 is everyone else’s preference, no problems, I will still try to attend the European one. Prague is a good choice for me, I am there often, it’s still cheap, it’s fun and there’s no better place for some serious beer research. [;)]
First of all, I would just like to endorse the hearty thanks to Erik for this fine user group. I like the idea that has been suggested, but unfortunately I would only be able to attend one of the meetings (should the option of having three go ahead). As for location, for me London would be easiest (but not essential) and I like the idea of Prague because I would like to visit the place. Anyway, keep up the good work Erik and look forward to meeting you (and hopefully lots of other members of this user group)
In the mean time, could you please prepare a plan that whatshould we do on the meeting? We can know each other, but I think we could also have some other activity, such as a presentation of the next generation of MBS product.
I basically have a good idea of what I want at the meeting, but I am waiting for otheres to submit their ideas first. Maybe I should start a new thread to prompt this.
David - Living in LA I wouldn’t have a problem with Las Vegas (or Vegas, as friends call it [8D] ) I would also be willing to volenteer to do some of the local grunt-work. Other great US / North america destinations could be Chicago - Great connection via ORD. I am not sure how many airlines fly directly to LAS, but you can catch a SWA for 'round 50 bucks. Now annother question: Would this be over a weekend - or during the week. Las Vegas hotels are dirt cheap during the middle of the week (if there are no huge conventions)
I will try to get some presentation from Microsoft about the MIcrosoft Dynamics NAV 5.00, but I am afraid that it is too soon for them to uncover the secret… It depend on which time frame you want to arrange the meeting in…
Vegas makes good sense because you can get good accomodation during the week. Kamil, thanks, for that. Keep in mind that this meeting will be made up by a lot of Navision end users. Not sure how MS react to that.
Yes definitely it went a bit by the way side. Because of the site performance issues, I know a lot of peole have not been able to reply as they might like, but it does lokk (cross fingers adn touch wood) that things are stable now. The first issue though is to get enough people interested. If we do have numbers, then I will begin organizing.
