We have a question about setting up BOM’s. We want to register little parts in the production cost price calculation but we don’t want an inventory transaction for this Item based on that production order.
BOM
item A - cost price calculation & item consumption (inventtrans)
item B - cost price calculation & item consumption (inventtrans)
little parts - cost price calculation - no item consumption
Does anybody know if we can set up this in standard AX, if there is a parameter to do this?
Set the item group of the little parts to not post physical stock.
You could always flush these, it depends if this is purely a cost registration exercise, if so are these real “parts”? In AX2009 you could use the costing sheet to uplift the item costs, but it depends what you are after.
First of all thanks for your answer but I think that my question was not clear enough.
They want to register the physical stock, f.e when they buy it, but not when it is consumed related to a production order. So my question is, does any parameter exists that give us the possibility to indicate that for these items no physical stock transactions may be made when it is consumed for a production order? But the items must be considered and booked for the cost price.
My question is, is this possible with standard AX 3.0/ 4.0/ 2009?
No that is not possible, you either have physical stock and control it as such, or you do not.
Have you tried looking at the flushing settings on the BOM? You could set them all against the final operation as finish flushing, but I still think you would need to produce the picking list by operation not to see them. Ultimately if you set the flushing method everything is prefilled for you so you just post it, it is not as though you have to fill it in, you just see them. Modifying the pickign list to pick up on these item types and excluding them would get them off the paperwork.
