ZUP file - what is stored in it?

Hello There, What all information does a ZUP file store. I know column position, pointer position. Is sorting order also a part of the information stored. Is there any document which lists all the properties saved with the ZUP file. Thanks for yr Help Amit

Actually with all the questions today about ZUP files I was going to start a thread on this. The ZUP file is where Navision stores all the information about the current session. Think of it as somehting like a Navision Cookie. You can control where to save it, but that is really about all you can do. Each time you access an object, Navision compares the object to the version of the reference stored in the ZUP file, and if it is different, it deletes the data, and starts again. This is why editing an object resets user settings. In one version of Navision, a seperate reference was kept depending ont he company you were logged into, so that if you set a filter in one company, it did not then apear in another company. Sounds good right? No actually a real disaster, so that vanished very fast. Anyway, there is no complete documentation available on ZUP files, but maybe people here could contribute by psoting what they know about ZUP files. So Gals and Guys, please lets define the ZUP file. Hi David, Thanks for your answers, I know Z UP its a User Profile file, it stores "all the information about the current session" but what I’m looking for is what “all” information about the current session is saved. I could never find a list of all this parameters/info stored in ZUP. Thanks Amit
