Hello. We have a very strange issue with Navision 4.0. We have a user thats .zup file does not appear to ever save any changes (i.e. move columns around). She will make a change to a form > close the form > reopen the form and the changes did not stay.
She has also never been asked to save her .zup. We even tried the trick of opening Navision twice and then closing them both.
The program works great for the other users.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the your time and help.
I haven’t heard about this zup files issue before but since you only get the issue on one client I would try the following and see if it solves the issue.
- Delete the zup file (You can find it here: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data). It might be corrupt and than can cause problems. Remember to close Navision before you delete the zup file.
- Uninstall, delete the zup file and then install the Navision client again.
Does the user have rights to save to the location where the zup file is stored?
Thanks for all of the responses. It looks like the bulk of the problem is user error. She is on a remote Terminal Server and was simply X-ing out of the Remote Session without closing Navision. Now that she is closing Navision 1st it is working correctly.
The other error of not being able to save changes to forms even without closing Navision has not been duplicated. I am assuming user error, but will let you know if it happens again.
