I think zLib would be the rigt choice because there exists an OCX for it. Maybe you can start here: http://datacompression.info/Zlib.shtml at the end of the page you find “Non-Commercial Libraries”.
Just before closing the thread … Now I use PNVZIP automation from http://www.zbitinc.com. Easy to use and works fine!
