Wrong ledger account type


Our client set up the wrong ledger account type initially. For example, the account should be “Balance”, but were set to “P&L”. And some account should be “P&L”, but were set to “Balance”. What are the way to rectify this kind of issues?


What does it say when you try to change the type?

AX doesn’t give any warning. But I suspect if there is any issue.

So it allows you to change it without issue - that is what you are saying? Then what is your issue?

I worried about if that will impact the balance sheet and P&L report?

Therefore run the report, it should now be in the correct section.


It won’t effect the reports. The primary purpose of ledger type is for information and also in journal entry.
