Why User id , Approval ID in approval template .

Hi,

What is the difference between user ID , Approval Id in approval template .

I know the meaning of User ID , Approval ID , how it works.

But what my doubt is y this form contain the two fields.

Please clarify my doubt.

I do not have a UserID in my approval template - what version are you using? Is it a standard field?

The approval ID is the person who has to approve the step, my guess would be your User ID is the person who created the template, or the originator of the approval process (you do not approve your own action - it kind of negates the need for approval)

Hi,

Are you talking about the Approval User Setup form ?

If so, the User ID is the user entering the document and Approval ID is the User ID of the user who approved these documents.
