I got the right server recommended by Navision and my server processor is 26% usage. Does it have something to do with my RAID 5?[V]
Could be. As far as I know Navision used to recommend RAID 1, but I’m not sure if that’s still so.
Peter is correct. We have tested this ourselves in multiple scenarios and RAID 5 can seriously degrade performance. Let Navision do its own striping.

Hi, The above answers are correct but there may also be other reasons why your navision server/ navision clients are running slowly. Could you supply answers to the following questions please: 1. Is the server a dedicated Navision Server? 2. What version of Navision are you using? 3. What is the Processor speed of your Server? 4. How much RAM does the Server have? 5. How big is your database? 6. How many physical disks are you using? 7. Does your server have room for extra physical disks? 8. What is your server network card set to? Full Duplex, Half Duplex? 9. What is your network speed? 10. Are all clients experiencing slowness or a selection of users? I think that should be enough for the time being…
