Do I need to import the customer maser/ vendor /employee master first in their respective tables or import Global address book , then transfer from GAB to respective tables in AX 2012 ?
a) can i transfer from customer to GAB , vendor to GAB ?
If yes please let me know .

I guess record first and then GAB and no transfer as it comes in teh same file so is linked as part of the import, or GAB first and then create from this. Depends on the import and the file I suppose
Record can be imported into GAB and then transfer functionality can be used to create customer, vendor, employee etc.
