I hate to sound like an Idiot but what’s a NAS??
NAS = Navision Application Server
Not really an application server as you know it from other systems, but more client with no user interface so that you can run codeunits etc. for automated background processes. If you check in codeunit 1 then you can see that the system checks the parameter from the NAS to check what codeunits to start.
It’s a NAV client without a user interface, which runs as a windows service.
Uhm, just to add my two cents: besides the NAV meaning of NAS (NAV Application Server) it could also mean “Network Attached Storage” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_attached_storage) … which is something different than a SAN “Storage Area Network” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storage_area_network) … [8-|]
