Hi,

We are facing slow system performance in “Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU 11”.

Kernel Version - 6.3.4000.127

Application Version - 6.3.4000.123

Application opening itself taking minimum 45 -50 sec. All other standard process also delay.

System structure.

We are using multi box application where our Application server and data base server are different. User accessing the application server through RDP server only.

We have total 4 server which are –

  1. Application Server (AOS Server)
  2. Database Server (SQL Server)
  3. RDP server
  4. Active directory Server

Server detail –

Application Server (AOS Server) –

Operating System - Window Server 2012 R2 (64 bit, 2.00 GHZ)

RAM - 32 GB

Drive - Single drive C: (269 GB free of 300 GB)

Processor - 8 core

Database Server (SQL Server) –

Operating System - Window Server 2012 R2 (64 bit, 2.00 GHZ)

RAM - 64 GB

Drive - C: (204 GB Free of 300 GB)

D: (58.7 GB Free of 199 GB)

E: (56.7 GB Free of 199 GB)

Processor - 4 core

RDP Server (User Access Server) –

Operating System - Window Server 2012 R2 (64 bit, 2.00 GHZ)

RAM - 42 GB

Drive - C: (235 GB Free of 300 GB)

Processor - 8 core

Active Directory Server –

Operating System - Window Server 2012 R2 (64 bit, 2.00 GHZ)

RAM - 8 GB

Drive - C: (87 GB Free of 100 GB)

Processor - 2 core

The first step of dealing with any performance problem is measuring what’s slow. Mere guessing without any data isn’t a very successful strategy.

You should review resource consumption on your servers, your configuration, SQL Server queues and locking and so on. Microsoft prepared some tools and checklists for you; it would be wise to use them.
