Can anyone advise on what actions should be taken to acheive this? Advise from MBS is that if you optimize all the Tables or install a new server that you should immediately ‘warm’ the database. If you don’t do that the system will rebuild a cache of the indexes. We have noticed that during the first few hours of trading the system response is slow (probably building the cache). I have tried running some queries and reports but it did not seem to help. We are running SQL with a 70Gb database with 45Gb used. After installing a new server and after running a SQL backup the first couple of hours of normal business activity generated a SQL transaction log of 39.4Gb [V]. Our normal log is only 300Kb. Is there a utility or code unit that can be run to ‘warm’ the database? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Rob
