I am implementing the Navision 2009 in the Server 2003 (English) with SQL 2005.
I need to input vietnamese in the system. However, I cannot not make it work.
What I had done:
change the non-unicode language to Vietnamese.
change the SQL2005 to Vietnamese locale
Please suggest the correct way to install.
Do I need to install the vietnamese version window server 2003 in order to input vietnamese?
thanks for you help.
No you just need to set the “native” codepage of both servers and clients to Vietnamese.
Thanks for your quick reply. Please correct me if I am wrong.
you mentioned the “native” codepage. Can you explain how to modify them? I just know in the server/client there is “regional and language options” within “Control Panel”, the tab “advanced”. I can change the “language for non-Unicode Programs” as “Vietnamese”. Do you refer to this one?
My testing environment is Server with SQL2005 installed. I also use the same server as Terminal Server. When I tested, I use the Terminal Client, which means the server, the client are using the same “language for non-unicode programs”. if you refer to that one, I had changed to “Vietnamese” already.
thanks for your help in advance.
Yes you’re correct, that’s what they call it in the new versions of Windows.
But let me know if you’re still having problems. Be happy to help you.
