Use of the field Allow multiple acquisitions

Hi ,

What is the use of the field Allow multiple acquisitions in the Genral ledger setup - Fixed Assest tab.? Please explain with an example.

( online help is not sufficient )

If the parameter is not selected, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 posts only one acquisition transaction for each asset per value model. In this case, the transaction type Acquisition adjustment must be selected for updates to the acquisition price of the asset.

Basically you can purchase a fixed asset on contract meaning your acquisition costs could be spread, in this case it would be an adjustment if not selected, otherwise it would be categorised as an acquisition.

Speak to someone who understands fixed assets is my recommendation [:D]
