Hi,
I have less skills in AIF.
Ax 2012 is following a new concept named WCF and it is mentioned that it will host services in AOS.
Does it mean that there is no need of IIS in any way.
Thanks

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is a part of .NET framework and it’s always been used by AX web services. The differences is that web services used to be hosted on IIS and IIS communicated with AX through the Business Connector. Now the application hosting WCF services is AOS itself, not IIS.
You don’t need IIS at all if you communicate with AX web services through TCP, but you still need it for the HTTP adapter.
Perfect. Thanks.
