Update storage dimension on existing item

hi, what is the best way to update a storage dimension ( whs enabled) on many items that are already in stock and that have some transactions.

I think there’s no easy way doing this. See this for guidance: How to change the Storage dimension group on items with existing Inventory transactions - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog

There is also this menu item ‘Change storage dimension group for items’ found in

Inventory management > Setup > Inventory

and

Warehouse management > Setup > Enable warehouse management processes
