How to know that an EDT is used or not in ax 2012.
I have created many EDT’s and some are used in tables and some are not used; and I just find out the unused EDT’s so that I can delete those unused EDT’s. Please help me to find the Unused EDT.
Use the Cross-reference Tool. It first builds references between all elements and then you can look at what it used where or not at all.

Should I update AOT/Cross reference/Update first (which will take much time)…? And then I have to do right click on that particular EDT and cross reference/ using instance view, so that we can see weather the EDT is used or not ?. Is that the same way you are suggesting to do
Yes, except that you want to see where the EDT is used, therefore you should choose “Used by” instead of “Using”.

I am its still showing updating Cross Reference even after 1 day. so I killed the process and opened new instance. I have gone to the custom EDT created manually and checked Add-ins>Cross-reference there I can see 1. Using(instance view) and 2. Update … but I cannot see “Used By” as you said. Please Help…
The reason that you don’t see “Used by” is obviously because you still haven’t built cross-references.
I can’t comment on performance of your system.
