Unit of measure as financial dimension

Can someone explain how UOM (Unit of Measure) is a financial dimesnsion? ANy example how this UOM can be used in chart of accounts as financial dimenstion?

Hi Sam, welcome to Dynamics User Group forum. Please make sure that you ask in the right forum, provide descriptive titles for your questions and attach appropriate tags, especially AX version.

Assuming that you mean AX 2012, unit of measure can’t be used as a financial dimension out of the box, therefore you have to do some development for that. Please refer to Setting an entity to be dimensionable inside Implementing the Account and Financial Dimensions Framework.

Then you can use it as any system dimension. If you’re not familiar with financial dimensions at all, you can learn it from documentation.
