Unable to open a custom report in Nav4

Hi guys! I’m using the customer licence and i have made a custom report. Now i want to use that report and i’m not allowed to. how can i do to open that report? thanks

Is this report in the license range of the customer? If the customer has report desiginer he always has 50000 - 50099. Otherwise you will have to assign the specific report no to the customer license. This has to be done via microsoft.

And if the report is in the license range (which it should be if you created it with your customer’s license), you will need to add it to the permissions of your user’s role. Go into Tools, Security, Roles. Scroll down to the role you need and click on the role button and select permissions. Inside the form that pops up there, you need to add the new report to the list of objects, and grant permission to execute the object.

IN fact the report was created with a developer licence but yes the customer has bought report designer so i need to check permissions then. Thanks for your help.

Th emost likely option, is that the report was created out of the user range. What was the object number that you used?

This is not an object number you get when you buy the report designer (50000 - 50099). You should either renumber it or add it to the customer license via Microsoft. There are tools to see which numbers are available in the license (www.mibuso.com)

You can just renumber it with the users license. Select the object, copy (doesn’t check permissions), then paste, it will give an ibject number error, so change the numebr and name, and done.
