Unable to End last operation in Manufacturing Execution

Hi,
I have a scenario where I can’t end the last operation of my production order using MES.
This is how feedback have been done on operations

Feedback quantity validation parameters are:
Feedback validation method: production started quantity
Accept surplus production: yes
Accept surplus in percentage: 5
Accept production shortage: yes
Accept shortage production: 5
If someone can tell me why I can’t end the last operation? And how the surplus or shortage is calculated on each operation? Thanks

What does it tell you when you try to end it?

Message is " Quantity reported as finished exceeds the quantity started" . So I am unable to finish the work now. Any idea?

Set the Accept Error in the Production Parameters in the MES section.

Adam, that exactly what we don’t want to do. it gives us other issues. So what is the purpose of having accept surplus or shortage feedback?

I agree with AdamRoue, that is the way. what other issues does it gave to you? It’s normal operation in many companies without problems.

The only alternative to not accepting the error is to not report more than started - does that give you a bigger issue? [:D]

Ok . I agree with you . Now my question remains: “So what is the purpose of having accept surplus or shortage feedback?” Do I have to have those with accepted errors? what is the impact to not have them? Please can someone explain
