Trial Balance with respect to Business Unit

Hi Pioneers,

I have 2 Business Units, named A & B, and I want to filter my Trial balance report in ax 2012 on the basis of Business Units. Please suggest me the approach. I have checked all these tables:

  • DimensionAttributeValueCombination table

  • DimensionFocusBalance table

  • GeneralJournalAccountEntry table

  • LedgerTrialBalanceTmp table

But in all these tables, I didnot get any field of Business Units. How can I associate that field ? Please suggest.

Hi,

Click the select button aft cliking the Trail Balance report Menu item. There the Business unit field will be available.

It will be like LedgerAccount.BusinessUnit. And select the desired values.

Thanks for your prompt reply. But there is no such “LedgerAccount.BusinessUnit” in the dropdown. Please help.

When you navigate to General ledger > Common > Trial balance, there should be a dropdown at the top with the label Financial dimension set. There you should be able to choose BusinessUnit and the Trial balance page will show a breakdown by BusinessUnit.

If you have not yet setup a financial dimension set for BusinessUnit, then navigate to General ledger > Setup > Financial dimensions > Financial dimension sets and create one. When you have, then click the Rebuild balances button in the action pane so that AX will calculate the per-BusinessUnit balances for your new financial dimension set. Once you’ve done all of that, then the steps in the first paragraph should work.
