Tracking (Serial / Lot) in Warehouse Entry table

This may be a User Forum question, but I am trying to understand when Serial No’s are used in Warehouse Entries and when they are not. I have a customer with records for Serialized Items some of which have Serial No in the Warehouse Entry and some of which don’t. There are even Warehouse Entries with Quantity > 1 for Serialized Items. I have not been able to find any explanation in any of the documentation/training materials/white papers I have access to.

It is determined by the setting for “Lot Warehouse Tracking” and “SN Warehouse Tracking” for the “Item Tracking Code” assigned to the given item.
