the selected database is not a model store database

hi all, when i try to install AOS along with CONTOSO Demo database am getting error msg as “the selected database is not a model store database” but if select default database MicrosoftDynamicsAx db its not giving any error, am able proceed further, only am getting this error when i try to install AOS along with contoso DB. any one suggest me some ideas to resolve this error… thanx in advance

how did you resolve this issue? Currently I am having a similar issue. I installed the Database on a SQL server with the AX installation DVD and called the Database “MicrosoftDynamicsAXRTM”. The installation created two databases:

a) MicrosoftDynamicsAXRTM

b) MicrosoftDynamicsAXRTM_model

perfect…

Now i am trying to install the AOS on a second (application) server. Validation did not issue any problems.

when selecting the database “MicrosoftDynamicsAXRTM” the system issues the error “The selected database is not a model store database.” ??!!

install database along with AOS

after that restore the CONTOSO Demo database on installed database from SQL server

this will help you to solve your problem
