Tax refund check to an employee

Due to a typo in the Payroll granule one of the taxes was miscalculated for an employee who is now asking a refund via check. It seems to me that an AP check won’t be good since the history for that employee would be lost and she doesn’t want to wait for another check and demands check now. Please help me how to figure this out and print a check. Thanks

We figured it out - just processed a check with Tax being a positive amount.
