Hi All ,

We’re thinking of transitioning to a complete standard costing setup.in Ax 2012. My question is whether the Inventory closing program needs to be run if a company is exclusively standard cost? I’m thinking “no” but would like any additional feedback.

Assume that material received and invoiced , then issued the same to production. After 15 days that received the transportation bill against that received material , which need to load these cost to the issued material to production.

What is the your suggestion to run the inventory close or not fif a company is for the exclusively standard cost ?

It is not needed from AX2012 onwards, however because it creates the settlements I believe some would still recommend it is run.
