I’m trying to determine if there is a way to update the cost of BOM elements within existing production orders (in the “Created” or “Scheduled” status) after a standard cost review/update?
Currently, any existing production orders retain their BOM element cost values from prior to the standard cost update, which results in a variance that is causing problems for us when the production order is ended.
I’d like to know if there’s a way to update the cost on existing production orders that I’m overlooking, or if we need to custom code something to update existing production orders. Forgive me if any of my question is unclear, I’m still working on wrapping my head around costing, etc.
