Sporadic Metadata error when pushing action button on page...

Hello Peepz

Sporadic Metadata Error when pushing action button on page, in this case when trying to post a warehouse shipment. When user exist page and reloads, they post it without errors:

“Metadata for page 7335 does not contain a control definition for the control with ID -208.”

I’ve tried recompiling the ‘said’ page but users still has issues.

Thanks

Hi Hajji,
Which version and build is this happening in?

Check if Recompiling all object helps.

Hi Erik

They are on NAV 2016, Build 45834, thanks.

Yes my last resort will be recompiling all objects…

sync table schema too?

Well basically with any metadata issues, then you should always start by recompiling the objects as you also did. But it could also be if the user made some personalizations/customizations to it. So check if that is the case. If yes, you could try to remove it for that user.

Thats that sounds logical.

Did you find a solution to this? Did it work to recompile all?

Hello Erik Thanks for following up,

unfortunately, after an ‘all objects compile’ and restart of the middle tier service, it still didnt resolve the issue.

next plan of action, recompile all objects as ‘administrator’, we’ll see what happens…

I actually just found a link (in Danish) which explains this error as a sporadic error that was fixed in NAV 2016 CU9. That’s the CU that was released this week.

Didn’t have the error my self, so could test if it solves it. But try to upgrade to NAV 2016 CU9.

Would that be for the danish version specifically, or the GB rollup too? we are using GB.

Thanks

That’s for the “platform” so independent of localization version.
