Specified Host name XXX is invalid

Hi All,

When I tried to open RTC, I am getting “Specified Host name XXXX/SQLEXPRESS is invalid” error. I have changed the Custom setting.config file. For example I open SQL server with the server name XXX/SQLEXPRESS with windows authentication.It opens properly. In custom setting file also I have used XXXX/SQLEXPRESS as servername. Can any one please help me to fix this error.

Did you try with only Server Name like XXX

Kindly put your server name instead of ‘XXXX’ .It will resolve ur problem.

Thank you very much both of you for your valuable suggestion. I thought you are matured enough to understand this. I need to be more specific. Consider this ‘XXXX’ as ‘KARTHIK’ now the server name becomes KARTHIK\SQLEXPRESS. I think now it is more specific. Can you suggest me solution for this now.

Did you try with server name ‘KARTHIK’ in Custom settings file?

Yes .I tried that option also.
