Special Characters in the Master Record Key Fields

Just wanted to check if there is still an issue in NAV where added *'s into the key fields can have a problem with the setfilter command.

Anyone experienced it recently? Dealing with a 3rd party for a customer who wants to use *'s in the Item No. field but I am worried this will reek havok on the MRP engine.

Hi Tony,

I haven’t heard that this should have been solved, as a general rule then it’s still not recommend to use * in you fields.

Yes it’s not going anywhere [:)],

I have tested it. ‘*’ acts as a wildcard.
