Hi, I am new with axapta. I have some questions. 1. Can I void invoice or packing slip or anything? Can somebody tell me how to do that? 2. Can we still open or change the invoice or packing slip after it has been printed? I don’t want other people to be able to open it because I don’t want them to change the items after it has been printed. Can I set up password if I want to change it? 3. Can I adjust the security according to my needs? For example, I want my accounting staff can only access the GL module, he cannot access to other module. 4. What is AOS? What is the use of it? 5. Does Axapta use a lot of bandwith? Does 2 gig a month enough for normal operation, for example: making sales order, purchase order, making payment. 6. Does dial-up connection using MS Terminal Service enough in Axapta? 7. Can axapta print barcode and read barcode out-of-the box? Does it require additional programming? 8. Which one is better 2 tier or 3 tier? Is there any documentation how to install 3 tier? Thank you. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi Point 8: i’d prefer a three iter installation. Point 4: The AOS ist the Axapta Object Server. This Server manages all Objects created in Axapta.
2.When Pck slip “posted” for all lines with full quantities of the ORder, it can not be reprinted. One can print it many times WITHOUT posting… (uncheck that posting checkbox). One can REVERSE the packing slip posting easily by using the Receive NOw field and hammer in a negative quantity… then flip the Posting paramter in the Pack SLip screen to “receive now” and do a reverse post. Then you have turned back the clock and can start over. (this is handy when user errors are made in receiving). Same is true for Post invoice. BIg problem is that you can SKIP the Post pck slip and just do a Post Invoice. The system then assumes you have received the goods and does an implicit Post Packing slip. Evert
