Script to backup Navision Native Database

Hello Guys,

I have also to backup my Navision Manually, Can you please tell me how to to make a script to automatically backup my Native Navision Database.

Hi,

You can use a program called Hotcopy which comes with Nav and set a scheduled task for this. Details of how to use it are on the Nav CD/DVD (in the Doc folder) in the installation guide w1w1ism.pdf

Well thay say the hotcopy is not so realiable when doing large amount of data.

Hi,

Ask your partner about Nav add-ons for backing up (Expand-IT is one that comes to mind) else consider going the SQL route.
