Screen Shot e-mail

HI In General Journals form i have entered 100 documents(Voucher). Each having a different number. Now i want to send 20 each to 5 different e-mail id’s. Is it possible ? i have one more condition those five users should be able to see only those records which are send to him/her. How can we set values in currform.url. Regards Rajan

I’m not sure if I understand. Is this from an User or a Developer point of view (I presume Developer…)? In order for the users who receive the e-mail to be able to view only some of the records, you can use the FILTERGROUP function, look it up in the C/SIDE reference guide. But I’m not sure if setting a FILTERGROUP will change the URL function output. You will have to try it.

[8)] Take a look in CSIDE reference guide inside Navision, at the voice: Composing URLs If you want to complete your task, you have to set the filters manually, as shown in the online guide. Compose your own url, create a text file starting with: [InternetShortcut] and change the extension to .url, then you can send by email all these urls by an automation. Little tip: if you open the urls with a text editor you can see how they works (in MS windows, i mean). [}:)]

Thanx Trupi

But can you compose an URL that sets a filter in such a way that the user is not able to remove it (like in FILTERGROUP’s)?

No, the filters are set all in the url string, an expert user can handle that and remove the filter.

I thought so, thanks for confirming. Rajan, also take in consideration that the latest versions of Outlook block the use of .url files as being “unsafe attachments”. This could potentially become a problem on your situation.

Thanx for Information on blocking. Which version of outlook has got that problem? Rajan

Outlook 2000 with Enhanced Security Pack, XP and 2003. Try searching this forum or the Microsoft site for more info.

You can bypass this with a registry change on your pc. The downside is that you have to do this on each client [:(!]
