Is it true that one can run commerce portal, w/o installing the MS commerce server, by using NAS instead? I have problem with NAS, i replyes: “Incorrect function”, though I managed to activate it on one of my client machines.
Sorry - not possible. As I understand it, it would require a full rewrite/rebuild of all components (including a lot of C/AL code) involved on the Navision side, since they all require CS functionality. You would essentially be building/developing your own CP solution - I don’t think you would save much with the number of hours needed for that.
Hi, Why to develop your own solution? There is alleready one. It runs on Navision 3.56, Navision Financials and Navision Attain by more as 80 customers. You can have a look on www.webnext.cz. You don’t need MS commerce server, which is charged per server. Milan
