Routing with Subcon workcenter

What are the steps in running a Subconworksheet with routing links code to automate issuance and receiving of goods. And what are the steps in setting up the planning engine of Attain.

Hi, I think you asked very general question. I would recommend you to read Manufacturing Manual. It has quite good description how you can setup subcontracting and auto issuance. Valentin Gvozdev Andel Jewelry Inc.

But somehow my licence demo is not working, the system should be able to run the subcontract worksheet if all my settings are correct (which I think are correct) but no data came out after selecting calculate subcontracts. I have not gone thru a proper training, I am learning thru self study currently. Please advice. . . .

Hi, You need to specify the Sub Contractor No. in the Work Center Card and while you are calculating subcontract in the worksheet you need to specify the Production Order No. in the “Prod. Order Routing Line” tab. But the best way to understand is to go throught the Manufacturing Manual as suggested by Valentin Srinivas Shetty

How would I know that my routing/routing link code are working. I have created firmed planned production order>release - the system run auto consumption journal posting - then the next step for production order was Finish Initially my inventory are all zero for items, after consumption journal my raw material is showing negative inventory, and my fg is still in qty on production order. I have tried receiving from warehouse but I cannot see any document for me call to out, how to do receiving. Can anyone please explain what is happening at this stage .

When I click on refresh at FPPO, I’m getting this message “Error when calculating backward. Calendar is not available before 01/01/01 for work center subcon2.”

Lucily Due to the backward calculating nature of this form of scheduling your leadtime is calculating prior to your calendar set-up, so this needs attention, although probably not much yuse being told you should have started something 6 months ago! Steve
