"Route card" and "Job card" journals

Dear all:

Can any one explain to me the difference between the “Route card” and “Job card” journals??

Both record production time and push costs to WIP.

Route cards are for an operation.

Job Cards are for the constituent parts of an operation (Setup time and run time are separate jobs) and generally booked onto by MES.
