I have a problem of restoring a Navision Financial 2 B database, in which case when I try to create a new db it gives me an error message saying I can not create a new database more than 2 GB. What is the reason for this?
Anyway using my developer license I can create new dbs more than 50 GB on NAV 3.7 to 5.0.
Can anyone could help me on this?

2 GB was the limit at that time/this version. You have to create several database files to get a bigger C/SIDE database.
Maybe it is a good idea to do (at least) a technical upgrade.

Thanx for your valueable suggestions . Anyway can anybody tell me how i can create multiple DB files and restore a Datebase
Please note that size of the Backup File is more than 2GB. Therefore size of the DB may go upto 10GB . So in which case i may i have to create several DB files. so how can i create the DB and do the restore.

a) Create first database part
b) Go to menu File - Database - Expand - Button Advanced. Her you can add additional database files.
Restore your backup. That will take a while, regarding your expected database size. For performance issues try to split database parts on several physical hard drives. Logical devices will not help…
