Reports Design

I am new to Microsoft Dynamics, can somebody clarify the best practice of developing the reports. i.e. Should i use the OLAP reports or use the Queries to create the reports in Dynamics?? If i use the relational model to create the reports will there be any issue in data retrieval as the volume of data is huge.

Best practice of developing reports in Ax is different. The best practice guide basically deals with technical details like best way of doing development etc.

Whether to go for OLAP report or an Ax report is determined based on many factors by consultants (functional, technical and business). Data retrieval is not a serious issue. Many Ax customers schedule a separate batch server especially for running complex reports.
