Hello,
I am building a test environment that I can use to learn AX2009. The environment includes 4 servers (MS Server 2008 r2, 64-bit) :
one domain controller,
one database server (SQL 2008 r2),
one Sharepoint Server (2010),
one AX application server (AX2009 SP1).
The servers “talk” to each other with no problems. AX application and test data are installed and configured.
I am at the point where I am trying to install Reporting Extensions on the database server (it has SSRS installed and running with no issues). I installed .Net Business Connector with no problems. However, when I try to install Reporting Extensions, I get an error (cannot connect to Business Connector session).
My questions:
-
What is a bare minimum of the AX components that I need to install on a client? Is .Net Business Connector all I need?
-
Is this a documented issue? I found a number of posts online that talk about this issue, but there seems to be no consistency on what needs to be done to resolve it.
Thank you!
