Reporting Currency is disable

Hi

When i am trying to enter the reporting currency, that field is grayed i can not select the currency. Can you tell me the reason and how i can enter the reporting currency.

Its because some journal entries already have been created and posted.

so now i cannot add the reporting currency or is there any way i can add the reporting currency and what is the impact if don’t define it. Please advise.
