I’ve created a report in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and I would like to prevent a Section Group from splitting over two pages when the report prints. The Section Group has two body sections within it, one for line info and another for line description. If they fall at the end of a page, sometimes the line info will remain on the first page and the line description will get pushed to the second page. I would like to have it where they would both carry over to the second page if the first page didn’t have enough room for both of them. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
I have done something similar, use the fetch() method and two programmable sections to fire your report sections.
When you have done this use the pageheight as a comparable for an IF statement, for example;
pageHeight = element.currentYmm100();
if(pageHeight > 24000 && pageHeight <27000)
What I am doing here is capturing the current PageHeight of the element, then using the condition IF the pageHeight is greater than 24000 and less than 27000 then a new page will be fired, then programmable section (8) is executed on this new page.
You then need to add a second condition to say else just execute the programmable section if it does not meet the above critieria - >24000 and <27000 ;
Thank you for your help!
