Quality order AX 2012

Hi,

We have setup Quality orders while posting Product Receipts and it is working fine.

I need to know how can we overcome this situation

An item for 100 qty is being received, as per our procedure, we have to inspect each and we found that 1 piece is damaged and then we rejected the line. Currently System moves the entire qty to the Quarantine WH.

Is there any way whereby we can move the defective one only to Quarantine and the rest shall be moved to the regular Warehouse?

Thomas

I think you should divide the quality order, so you can approve the qty good and reject just the wrong unit.

Hi,

Just to clarify what i have done is:

We have a Quality order generated for 10 qty and we have a Test1 which has results as Pass or Fail.

What i did is passed 9 and Failed 1. System puts the complete qty (10) in Quarantine. Rather i would need to put 1 only in Quarantine.

How can I achive this?

regards

Thomas

From the quality perspective, if your sample is not ok, then the whole qty should be rejected, because the sample was representative enough for the bath.

What you want to achieve is not ok with a quality perspective, for what you want you have two options, one quality order per unit, then you can reject/accept each unit individually or… once you know the result (9 pass 1 failed) split the quality order of ten units into one quality order of 9 and other quality order of 1, approve the 9 units quality order and reject the other.

Agree with Hector here. To perform quality check, we only take samples in particular percentage or fixed quantity from the order but not the whole order quantity.

I think this will be huge effort if order quantity is more. Like for example just think of 100 qty. You need to make 100 quality orders to validate individually or split them based upon failure (this should be manual split as no function available to do it from quality order level as far as I know) which also takes lot of effort too.

But if your requirement is to perform tests on the whole order and report only good quantity into warehouse, why not use the Quarantine upon validation failure function. This will create quarantine order by automatically after validation failure and from there you can only report the good quantity as finished or just split (using Functions=> Split) the order by good qty & bad qty and then report the good qty order as finished.

Dear Kiran,

Thanks for the reply.

Will try it out.
