We have a manufacturing client that is using a 5% scrap factor on the first operation(using send ahead qty). When we try to optimize production scheduling by moving a production order, all of a sudden the last operation finishes prior to the first operation. When we take the scrap factor out. The operations “work” at least they stay in line. Put the scrap factor in and the last operation finishes prior to the first operation. Any one have any experience with this? or actually using Production Scheduling?
Hi Ron You will have better luck in the manufacturing forum rather than the developers one. Your posting is not clear. Are you using hte send ahead quantity as a scrap factor? Why are you not using the scrap factor if this is the case? An example with dates and quantities would be good, but not here - put it in the manufacturing forum!
