Hi, I’ve been trying the following scenario both in NA 3.60 and NA 3.70 getting some weird result (or they look to me): Sales Order: Item A, Qty 40000 I know my production line can’t handle more than 25000 at once, so I go in Line → Item Tracking Lines and split the line into to lot numbers: lot1 25000, lot2 15000 I run MPS on Item A, I get two lines in the Planning Worksheet: Line 1 Qty 25000 OP0001 Line 2 Qty 15000 OP0002 Great, just what I hoped for! [:p] Nevertheless, I choose to not carry on the AM and I delete the lines in the worksheet. When I go back to check the sales order, I find out that the lot numbers I had assigned have desappeared. [xx(] I restore the los nos and try an other way: from the SO form → Order → Planning → Create Prod. Order I get the error message “Cannot match Item tracking” … what does it mean? Try this with 3.70A, Navision solve many bugs about Lot No. in manufactoring. I had other kind of problem regaring lot no e manufactoring but now it run! Marco
Check table 6507-Item Entry Relations and 336-Item tracking Specification to understand if it’s a bug. Marco

Ciao, Marco [:)] Table 6507 and 336 are related to Item Ledger Entry which are not involved here. Table 337 Reservation Entry, while the would be planned orders are in the planning worksheet holds the followings records: Item A Qty -25000 Source Type 37 Subtype 1 Source ID SO123 Lot1 Item A Qty -15000 Source Type 37 Subtype 1 Source ID SO123 Lot2 Item A Qty 25000 Source Type 246 Subtype 0 Source ID PLANNING Item A Qty 15000 Source Type 246 Subtype 0 Source ID PLANNING The records related to the worksheet lines have no lot number, if I want the lot numbers carried to the production orders I need to assign them manually again, which is also annoying - what did I assign them to the sale order line for, then? When the worksheet line is deleted it deletes also the related reservation entries, which is good, but it also deletes the reservation entries related to the original SO line, which should be nothing of its business IMHO. I don’t know in 3.70A, but in 3.70 there are several problems on item tracking. Item tracking is stored in table 336 and MPS/MRP calculation delete the reservation entry having Reservation Status <> Reservation. e.g. if you enter lot no. on a purchase order or on a whse receipt and you run the MRP before posting the receipt, you have to enter again the lot no. p.s. certo che se ne parlassimo in italiano sarebbe più facile (almeno per me), cmq forse andrebbe messa nel forum del Manufacturing. Anna, in quali casi un’azienda di produzione genera il nr. lotto sull’ordine di vendita invece che in produzione?
