Production order not included in master planning, how to fix it ?

Hi All,

I’ having difficulties to set master planning with AX2012. here is my case :

Item XYZ

On hand qty : 700 Pcs as of today

Demand Sales Order : 800 Pcs on Oct 25, 2013.

Safety Stock in item coverage setup : 500 Pcs

Quantity in process in existing production order : 300 Pcs → (Start date Oct 22, 2013 and will be finish on Oct 25, 2013)

when running master scheduling, the system proposes Plan production Order 600 Pcs. why the existing production order not calculated ?

That will depend upon your item coverage group settings - how have you configured the group applied to the item and the item specific settings for item coverage? It may also be impacted by the plan parameters themselves.

Any advice for correct setup ?

In Master Planning Parameters, look at your Futures time (generally 10:00am) if the production order you have in process is considered to be finished after that time, maybe that is why it is not being considered by master planning to fulfill your sales order and safety stock the day you are running it (today). Try changing the futures time much later or anticipate the deliver date to Oct-24.
