production order generation error

Hi all,

In the production order form after the released status of the production order, if i go for proceeding the next step i.e… start of production order its showing error like quantity cannot be picked because only 0.00 is/are available from the inventory, but i already created a purchase order on those items whichever need to add for production order and afterthat if am going to post the picking list or route card or job card journal its showing error like Production status Released does not allow posting the journal. so anybody suggest me to resolve this problem.

Look into the parameters at the start of production, you do not just press start. I guess you are posting the picking list journal at this stage, and as you say you are going to do it after starting it you are telling the system the wrong thing to do at the start of production.
