I am creating a Production Order from a Sales Order but if the BOM is exploded on the sales order the production order isnt pulled into the order planning and doesnt get created however if i do the same order and dont explode the BOM the production order is created.
After Production BOM exploding the compound --read, the one to produce-- Item is no more present on the SO.
NAV can’t tell that you are still willing to produce something, now the SO is treated in a way you’re selling the individual Items directly from the Inventory.
The behavior is logical, you can’t expect NAV to perform differently, therefore do NOT explode the Production BOM. This can be done with simple Assembly BOMs, where manufacturing is not included and individual Items are anyway written off from inventory directly, never mind exploded or not.
