Is any one using Production Scheduling in Navision, or can they suggest an add-on. Our client is using 100th/hr for a unit of measure at the work group level, and inturn the machine centers are based on 100th/hr. They have a small time slice of .009 for a run time at a particular operation. They are also using send ahead quantities. Where we are runnning into a problem is in moving a firm planned production order. When we do this, Navision actually reports the last operation finishing prior to the first operation. It appears to forget that it can’t start the final operation until it recieves material from the first operation. I have submitted a support request, but so far the only information is that it is a limitation of Navision. Not sure I am comfortable with that answer though. I’m fishing here!!

Hi Ron, are you using Flushing Method = Forward on the machine center used for the last operation? Navision allow you to post output in any sequence, so if you setup the machine center with an automatic flushing method, Navision post the output for that machine center when you release or close the order even if it’s the last operation and you didn’t post the previous one. Send-ahead qty is used just for planning calculation. Elena
