Problem while Exporting and Importing Shared Projects!

Hai…

I’ve just created one sample project with number sequences… While am trying to export and import this project from main server to temporary server, I couldn’t able to get Number Sequences and its references. Only I ve got Forms and Tables without its Records…

Can anybody tell me how should i export my project with number sequences, its Extended DataTypes and References for that.

Hi Mohamed,

When you export / import projects only Ax objects (tables, forms etc) will be exported/imported.

If you want to export / import data, you have to use standard SQL server tools (which is my preference). Via SQL server, you can do one of following -

  • Either backup/restore data from one installation to another
  • Or selectively move data from certain tables from one database to another
